DTF stands for Direct to Film. It’s a process where designs are printed onto a special film and then transferred onto fabric using heat and pressure.
They’re used to decorate T-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags, and other fabric items. You can create vibrant, full-color designs without needing a cutting machine or weeding.
It’s simple!
1. Preheat your heat press to 300–320°F (150–160°C)
2. Press for 10–15 seconds (medium pressure)
3. Let it cool completely (cool peel)
4. Peel off the film
5. Repress for 10 more seconds with a Teflon or parchment sheet for best results
Yes! Use firm pressure on a hard surface (not an ironing board). Press at 320°F for 15–20 seconds, cool peel, then press again with a Teflon sheet.
Yes, they’re long-lasting and can withstand regular washing—just turn garments inside out and tumble dry low or hang dry for best results.
